So we begin a new year. With that thought we understand the old year is gone and we cannot go back and change it. What we did is past, so all we can do now is to try not to make the same mistakes we made, and to try and live more like Christ this year.
Paul was very clear about these matters in Phil. 3:13-14, "Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Seeing we cannot change the past, we must put it behind us, and strive even more to do God's will our daily lives.
We will not be perfect this year, but we can be better than last year if we put our hearts to it.
