Sometimes we all need a little help. This is well illustrated in the Bible. one of the best texts on the subject is found in Exodus 17. Israel is forced into battle for the first time after leaving Egypt.
Joshua is chosen to lead the arm (v. 9). This is a job he will keep the remainder of his life.
Moses took the "rod of God" and went upon a hill (v. 9). As long as Moses held up his hand, Israel would win; however, if his hand dropped, Israel would lose (v. 11). The task of holding up his hands became so great that Aaron and Hur came and supported Moses' hands, and Israel gained the victory (v. 12-13).
So what does this have to do with us? Sometimes we may need support from our brethren to get a job done. Solomon does say, "Two are better than one" (Eccl. 4:9). Never be afraid to ask for help.
