5-5-2019 - From the Valley

Updated: May 12, 2019

Long ago, Solomon encouraged in Prov. 4:14-15, "Do no enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn away from it and pass on." The path of the wicked is a long road that leads to sorrow and destruction. It is easy to enter but difficult to exit. That was why Solomon said not to enter it. If one never starts down that path in the first place, they never have to struggle with leaving it.

Satan has a way of making the path look inviting, but remember, the first time we encounter him, he is trying to deceive Eve. Satan has a way of making sin look inviting, while causing people to not consider the consequences. That is why we must be careful.

Turning away from the path of evil is not always easy, but it is always the right course of action. Those who follow Christ's way will never regret it. Those who follow the path of evil will regret it forever.
