2-10-2019 - From the Valley

Some people make some fantastic requests of God in prayer. However, as we study scripture, we find God acts in accordance with His revealed word. The 119th Psalm reveals this to us.

Psalm 119:58, "Be merciful to me according to Your word."

Verse 65, "You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word."

Verse 76, "Let, I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Your word to Your servant."

Verse 107, "I am afflicted very much; revive me, O Lord, according to Your word."

Verse 116, "Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live..."

Verse 133, "Direct my steps by Your word..."

Verse 170, "Deliver me according to Your word."

What this teaches us is that God acts by His revealed standard in His word. How good to know that God is consistent in His dealings with us.
