12-29-2019 - From the Valley

Updated: Jan 5, 2020

Another year is almost gone, and how fast it passed. Job had an understanding of how quickly time passed. He said his days were like those of a hired man (Job 7:1), swifter than a weaver's shuttle (Job 7:6), and of few days (Job 14:1).

In regard to this quick passing of time, Paul had some things to say. In Eph. 5:16, "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Time is precious, and we should not waste it in sin, but use our time to the glory of God. Paul wrote in Col. 4:5, "Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time." People are departing this life every day, and we may only have a brief time to share the Gospel with them. We need to use our time with others wisely, before there is no more time.
